In collaboration with Just Peace Advocates and Brock University professor Miles Howe, IJV has released a new report drawing attention to the alarming escalation of violence and displacement faced by Palestinians in the Israeli-occupied West Bank since October 7, 2023. The report calls on the Canadian government to take immediate and meaningful action to protect vulnerable Palestinian communities in the West Bank and to hold accountable those Israelis responsible for the continuing human rights violations against them.
The violence against Palestinians in the West Bank, enabled and perpetuated by organizations like the World Zionist Organization’s (WZO) Settlement Division, has reached unprecedented levels. As settlers continue to commit atrocities — including murder, arson, and the systematic displacement of Palestinian communities — Canada must no longer remain complicit.
We are calling on you to take action by sending a letter to Prime Minister Trudeau, Foreign Minister Joly, your Member of Parliament (MP) and other key MPs, urging them to expand sanctions to include high-level Israeli officials and organizations that provide the financial and operational support for settler violence. With your voice, we can push for a stronger, more principled stance from Canada on human rights in Palestine.
